被定义为爱尔兰乡村创作歌手的Damien Rice，1973年出生于都柏林。Damien原本在Juniper乐团当吉他手，后来离团去了意大利一阵子，一边写歌创作，一边到处旅行，之后才又回 都柏林组团。因为电影配乐家David Arnold的帮忙（Damien的表哥），在2002年Damien Rice终于有机会发表自己的第一张专辑“0“，开启了他在国际上的知名度。
